What is the difference between a website and a web app?
A website presents information — pages, content, a contact form. A web app does work: users log in, enter and manipulate data, and the software applies rules to it. A booking system, a customer portal, and an internal dashboard are web apps; a marketing site is a website.
How much does a custom web application cost?
Web apps are quoted per project after a discovery phase, because scope drives cost far more than page count does. The usual approach is to scope the smallest version that removes real work, quote that at a fixed price, and treat everything else as a later phase — so you are never signing an open-ended hourly arrangement.
Can you replace the SaaS tool we currently pay for?
Often, yes — particularly when you use a fraction of its features but pay per seat, or when it almost fits and the workarounds cost real time. We look at your actual usage first and will tell you when staying on the SaaS product is the cheaper answer.
Will it integrate with the software we already use?
Yes, where the tool provides an API or webhooks. Accounting, CRM, email, calendars, and payment processors are all standard integrations.
Who hosts the application and owns the data?
You do. Applications are deployed to infrastructure in your name, and self-hosted where data sensitivity or cost makes that the better call. You hold the keys and the data.
